Amazon Choice is a product recommendation for customers on Amazon. Amazon itself writes about the badge, which has been available since 2017:
“Amazon’s Choice recommends top-rated, readily available products at a reasonable price.”
However, the Amazon Choice award is awarded automatically – the recommendation is awarded algorithmically.
How do I get the Amazon Choice Badge?
Although it is not entirely clear which factors count when awarding the Amazon Choice badge, the following points are considered relevant:
The most important points are the click and conversion rates of the individual keywords. The more often a product is clicked on and purchased for a particular keyword, the higher the probability that this product will receive the Amazon Choice badge.
Prime delivery and availability are also particularly important. Without fast delivery, the product will not be recommended by Amazon and will therefore not receive an Amazon Choice badge. The geographical location of the products can also play an important role in the awarding of the Amazon Choice bad ge – the badge can therefore differ from region to region.
However, the badge differs not only from region to region, but also from person to person. Personal preferences such as color and design are also taken into account when awarding the Amazon Choice bad ge. The buyer data already collected has a significant influence on Amazon’s recommendation.
A low return rate compared to competitors in the category, a high star rating with at least four stars, as well as the availability of the product and the success of the product within the category are also important. Bestseller status is also considered relevant.
Price also plays an important role in awarding the badge, but the Amazon Choice badge does not guarantee that it is the cheapest product.
