Amazon OneClick

With Amazon’s OneClick option, customers can place orders in a simplified way without having to go through the shopping cart.

If you are ordering on Amazon for the first time and have entered a delivery address and bank details or credit card details, the OneClick function is usually activated automatically. If customers then reach a product detail page, the button for one-click orders is available as an additional button below the “Add to cart” button. If visitors now click on this quick purchase button, the order is automatically placed. The data from the previous order is used as the payment method and delivery address.

one-click

Below the OneClick button, users have the option of selecting an individual address from a list of the last delivery addresses if they want the delivery location to be different from the last order. The default delivery address is otherwise the one that users have previously set as their preferred address. Amazon customers can change this default setting at any time in the 1-click settings. For all orders placed with OneClick within 15 minutes, Amazon tries to combine them into as few deliveries as possible so that the orders are delivered in one package in the best case. OneClick orders can also be changed or canceled within these 15 minutes. Additional details on the conditions of Amazon-OneClick can be found on the corresponding help pages on Amazon.

Important note

If you want to use OneClick on Amazon, you must accept the storage of cookies. Amazon expressly points this out:

“In order to order with 1-Click®, your browser must accept cookies. Cookies are short data sequences that we store on your browser to identify your customer account. If your browser does not accept cookies, you can simply add items to your shopping cart and then proceed to checkout.”

Payment methods for OneClick

One-click orders on Amazon can only be made in combination with payment by direct debit or credit card. This means that customers who wish to pay by invoice cannot benefit from the simplified ordering process offered by OneClick. Customers who still have remaining credit on their Amazon account, e.g. from vouchers or gift vouchers, can offset this against a one-click order.
